Things to see & do in Coromandel - New Zealand
Cathedral Cove ..... One of the jewels of our crown. A visit
to Mercury Bay is not complete until you have driven to Hahei, onto the
lookout and walked to Cathedral Cave.
Hot Water Beach ..... located along Pacific coast just south of Mercury Bay at the northeast tip of the Coromandel Peninsula. Hot springs surface at low tide. This is the only time mother nature allows you to see the springs, best time is usually two hours either side of low tide. You can dig your own hot pool, relax and soak your body in the thermal water.
Driving Creek Railway ..... New Zealand's only narrow-gauge mountain railway along with a working pottery and wild life sanctuary.
Goldmine Experience ..... A guided tour takes you through an operational, 19th century Stamper Battery & into one of the richest goldmines of the time.
Native Treks ..... Experience the great New Zealand outdoors
(after all the what we are best known for). Guides will take you into
the bush and forests, up mountain streams and on to deserted beaches.
Learn about the native trees and fauna.
